Q. When do the Adult Soccer Leagues play?

Q. Where do the Adult Soccer Leagues play at?

A. The Adult Soccer Leagues have soccer year round!! We have Outdoor seasons for spring/summer and fall, then we play 2 or 3 Indoor winter seasons. Adult Indoor seasons are played at the Avera Sports Dome. It is a heated dome building with quality turf. Indoor Session 1 is approximately played Nov. through Dec. Session 2 and 3 are played approximately Jan. through May. The Spring/Summer and Fall Outdoor games are played at Tomar Park off of Minnesota and I-229. The Adult Outdoor seasons are started in approximately Apr. or early May going through Oct. ( The start and end of outdoor season may vary depending on weather conditions)

Q. What if I don't think that I have the time or I am too busy?

A. The Adult Soccer Leagues program is designed to fit into most schedules. We play approximately 1 1/2 hours for the indoor games and approximately 2 hours for outdoor games. We do not have any practices, just the games. Like stated before, we play once a week either on Sundays, occasional Saturdays or a weekday evenings. This works well, as it doesn't usually interfere with religious commitments or school functions. ( *Actual game times/schedules are released approximately 2 weeks before a season starts. Unfortunately due to the large amount of teams, we cannot take requests to play only on certain days. Games are scheduled for leagues through a computer generated program.)

Q. How much does it cost to play?

A. It is equivalent to 2 coffees a week or 2 bar drinks haha depending on what you prefer.. ;) It is approximately $75 +/- a season for an individual player soccer fee and a once a fiscal year $35 US Amateur per player membership fee for the state/USASA. All players playing in our Leagues are required to be a member of the USASA. The membership is a legal liability release and catastrophic injury membership.

  • The State fiscal year for the USASA soccer membership is from January 1st to the following December 31st.
  • We have a Early Bird, Regular and Late tiered registration system.  You may pay less if you sign up early and you may pay more if you sign up late.
  • Each Player must sign up individually through the SP Sign up system to register to play for regular League play.( See New Team Registration below for more info on signing a team up).
  • We also have a Yearly Individual Player Sign up available as well. Sign up as a yearly player and pay for all your games for the year or remaining year upfront. See more info on SP for this sign up.
  • AS ALWAYS.. signing up early each season saves you money! (Our requests for fields and referees have to be turned into our facilities and ref scheduling parties 30 days before we play so we encourage everyone to sign up early so that we can turn in our requests in time.)

 Q. Can I form my own team and how do new teams sign up?

A. YES! You can form your own team! Either Competitive Open or Rec Co-Ed. This is a great way to get your co-workers, family members or friends together to play and have a great time.

  • AMOUNT OF WOMEN PLAYERS ON A COED TEAM- The criteria for the amount of female players and male players are a minimum of  5 females and 7 males. You can have more females than the minimum to make a team.  If there are at least 10 players that are willing to play and have 3 of those being females, call us so that we can see if we have more players for you.
  • For all League Teams- No more than 12 total on a team for indoor and No more than 14-16 total on a team for outdoor.  If you are having trouble finding enough to make a full team, then we might be able to help.
  • For all League Teams -TEAM JERSEYS- Each team is required to furnish their own jerseys/T-shirts. All shirts must have a permanent number on the back.  See Sponsorship money answer below in next Question.
  • For all League Teams-TO REGISTER YOUR TEAM and TEAM COACH- Go to our " Register to Play" tab located on top of our website or click HERE to register. The link will take you to our Sports Pilot Registration system so that you can register the Team name and as the Team Coach. Please read all information and directions on the Registration site!
  • You will sign up your official Team and name of team and then register as the Coach. The coach cannot sign up players to the team. Each player will need to sign up individually onto the team through SP once the Team has been registered.
  • PERFORMANCE BOND- EACH TEAM IS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE THE OFFICE WITH A PERFORMANCE BOND OF $100.00. This bond needs to be a cashiers check and paid to the office before the first team game. This Bond covers your team not showing up for a game. If you forfeit and/or do not show to a scheduled game, the bond will be cashed and used to pay for costs associated with that game. The Bond will need to be replaced and given to the office before the next team game.
  • Once registered as a team coach, you may go back into your team's roster and see all your players that have signed up, if anyone still needs to pay, email your team and much more! Our system gives the coach the abilities to handle his/her team with ease.
  •  ** MAKE SURE TO TO PRINT OFF YOUR RECEIPT OR WRITE DOWN YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE ONCE YOU HAVE REGISTERED TO PLAY WITH US. THIS IS YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD TO GO BACK INTO YOUR SOCCER REGISTRATION ACCOUNT. YOUR EMAIL RECEIPT FROM YOUR REGISTRATION WILL NOT HAVE YOUR USER NAME OR PASSWORD FOR SECURITY REASONS. \

Q. How can I play if I am too out of shape or don't know the game?

A. This is why we have designed the multiple Leagues. Statistics show that adults learn the game faster by actually playing the game. Youngsters learn the fastest by practicing the game and then playing. The Coed Entry Leagues are just right for those who are new to soccer or just want an hour of great cardiovascular workout. We play on smaller fields so that the running is not too constant and with more players playing you can substitute in and out of the game when you might need a break. The established players help teach those who are new to the game. It is amazing how fast you will learn!

Q. How could playing Adult soccer benefit me?

A. It provides you, the adult, with first hand knowledge about how the game is played.

  • It is a wonderful experience for those soccer coaches that have never played, parents of kids that are playing soccer, those who have played soccer before or just to try a new sport.
  • For the first timer with no knowledge, it can be great for all around cardio exercise and a fun team based sport.
  • For parents of soccer kids,  it provides a terrific example to your kids. They see mom or dad out playing the same sport, having a good time and it makes a great bonding experience. It really gives you the first hand experience on what goes on into a real time soccer game.
  • For those who have played before, you get to keep playing your favorite sport!!  It also provides excellent examples of sportsmanship, exercise and team building.
  • Also for those who work together, it provides a great opportunity to team build outside of the work place!

Q. What if I have played soccer before?

A.      THEN COME AND PLAY AGAIN!! We encourage all levels of players who have played before to sign up. That is why we have the Leagues for each level of play. You can have your choice of which league fits closer with your needs. Please just specify upon registration which league you prefer.
